All-on-X implants are one of the most popular full-mouth restoration services to date. At Union Mill Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center, we recommend them for their durability, aesthetics, and efficiency.

Over 95 percent of Americans who have received All-on-X implants have been satisfied with their choice, and with a success rate of 95%, it is also very low risk. At our Mt Laurel, NJ oral surgery practice, we work with patients closely to determine if our patients are good candidates for All-on-X implants.

What are All-on-X implants? How exactly do they help you regain a beautiful smile? Here is what you need to know about All-on-X implant treatment.

What Are All-on-X Implants and How Do They Work?

All-on-X implants use multiple dental implants to provide an entire set of teeth.

The implants themselves are titanium alloy screws that are placed in the jawbone. The top part of the implants that break through the gums are called the abutment points where the teeth go on. After the teeth have been placed, additional smaller screws will secure them into place.

The result is an incredibly stable and durable set of prosthetic teeth that will feel more natural than some other options available. There are great benefits to be had by going with All-on-X implants and we will be going over some of these points.

Implants Feel More Natural Than Dentures

•  Because implants are securely planted in a patient's mouth, they will not shift around or fall out.

•  In addition to this, the feeling when you chew is also closer to natural teeth than what dentures can provide. Patients that have made the switch to implants, who had used dentures for years, are surprised at how natural they feel.

•  There isn't a big learning curve with implants if you are experienced with dentures - and even if you are going from your organic teeth straight to implants - the biggest hurdle you'll face, as mentioned previously, is the lack of feeling with the teeth themselves.

•  Overall, we believe that implants are second only to natural teeth if you require a prosthetic replacement.

All-on-X Implants Can Save You a Lot of Time

One of the biggest advantages to All-on-X implants compared to other forms of implants is that most patients will not require a bone graft procedure before proceeding to have their implants placed. This is a big deal for many patients, as it can save over a year of waiting for the bone graft to bond with your original bone. All-on-X implants are able to be placed in a way that caters to a patient's available bone.

In addition to this, you can receive your permanent teeth in the same procedure as your implants. The implants will still need to bond with your jawbone - thus care is still required - however, the permanent teeth will look more natural compared to the temporary teeth given with other implant procedures.
